Server Rules
The rules that keep our The Isle Evrima servers fair and fun. They apply in game and on our Discord. Not knowing them is never an excuse, so take two minutes.
๐How These Rules Are Read
6
๐งญ Reading them
- 0.1
The point of a rule wins. Every rule has a point, and this page is not a full list of every banned move. If what you did gets the result a rule is there to stop, it counts, even by a route or an example we did not write down. And missing from this page does not mean allowed: if it is clearly unfair, staff can act (7.4).
- 0.4
Playing with the wording is breaking the rule. Setting things up so you land just outside how a rule is worded is treated the same as breaking it. Arguing about the exact words afterwards does not change it.
๐ What these words mean
- 0.5
Grouped. You are grouped with someone when you act as one: moving together, waiting for each other, defending each other, getting payback for each other, sharing a body, closing in on the same target, or telling them where a target or a threat is. Being far apart, or being in different voice chats, does not change it. Group caps count everyone acting as one, not only the players standing next to each other.
- 0.6
In combat. You are in combat from the moment a fight starts, a chase starts, or an enemy dino is close enough that a fight is clearly coming. You are still in combat for 5 minutes after the last hit, the last chase, or the last time you saw each other.
- 0.7
Helping. Anything that puts someone else in a better spot without you hitting anything: scouting, blocking, getting in the way, calling out positions, distracting, pulling a chase away, or leaving them a body.
- 0.8
Information. Anything a player could not see with their own dino right now: where people are, their growth, their health, their names, which way someone is going, what a stream is showing, or what you saw before you died.
๐ตGeneral & Fair Play
15
๐ค Conduct
- 1.1
English in public. Global chat and public Discord are English only. Local in-game chat in another language is fine if everyone involved understands it; switch to English if a non-speaker joins.
- 1.2
Zero discrimination. Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any hateful content is an instant permanent ban.
- 1.3
Respect others. No harassment, bullying, doxxing, threats, or excessive toxicity. Keep drama out of public channels: open a ticket on our Discord.
- 1.4
Location. Sharing your own location is fine. Sharing someone else's without consent is punishable.
- 1.5
No begging staff for perks. Staff never grant grows, unlocks, or items on request.
- 1.6
No advertising. Do not promote other servers, Discords, or communities in our chats or DMs.
โ๏ธ Fair Play (zero tolerance)
- 2.1
No cheating. Hacks, macros, scripts, or third-party tools that affect gameplay: permanent ban.
- 2.2
No exploits or bug abuse. Abusing known bugs or unintended mechanics (animation cancels, rock/terrain glitching, attack-speed tricks...) is punishable. Playing with the wording of the rules counts too (0.4).
- 2.3
No combat logging. Logging out while you are in combat (0.6) is forbidden.
- 2.4
No body denial. Do not suicide off cliffs or into deep water to deny your body. (Aquatic species excepted.)
- 2.5
No bot or web-tool abuse around combat. Do not use the shop, dino storage (park or redeem), teleport, or any website or bot command to gain an advantage in combat. This is forbidden any time you are in combat (0.6). Concretely: no parking or redeeming to restore health, hunger, or stamina during or right before a fight, no teleporting to escape a chase, and no scouting with one dino then redeeming another to engage. If a threat is near you, settle it in game first.
- 2.6
No revenge killing. After you are killed, do not respawn to go back and attack the same player. Wait at least 10 minutes before you seek out or re-engage your killer. Deliberately returning to the same spot to hit them back inside that window is revenge killing and will be punished.
- 2.7
No bypassing systems. No alt accounts to dodge bans, store dinos/currency, or bypass limits. One account, play fair.
- 2.8
No stream sniping. Do not use a live stream, a VOD, or a clip of someone who is currently online to find, follow, avoid, or ambush them. Watching a stream is fine. Acting in game on what it shows you is not.
- 2.9
No ghosting. Once you are dead, parked, spectating, or on another account, you stop passing information (0.8) to players who are still alive. This covers Discord voice, DMs, streams, and any channel outside the game.
๐ฟHerbivore Rules
3
- 3.2
Nest protection. Do not attack or raid other herbivore nests.
- 3.3
No corpse camping. Do not sit on or guard a carcass to keep carnivores from feeding. Herbivores gain nothing from meat, so parking on a body only denies others their food. Leave corpses to the meat-eaters.
- 3.4
No betrayal. Fighting other herbivores is allowed, but no betrayal: do not invite your own species (or any dino) to your group just to attack them or lead them into a trap.
๐Carnivore Rules
2
- 4.1
Cannibalism. Allowed, but no betrayal: do not invite your own species to your group just to kill them.
- 4.2
Flyers. Pteranodon may not scout or relay information (0.8) for players it is not grouped with (0.5). Spotting from the air for someone else's hunt is not allowed.

๐ค Who you can group with
- 5.1
Same species. Group up to the number above. Within that limit you act as one group, fights included.
- 5.2
No mixpacking. Different species never group, travel, or fight together, carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores alike. You do not follow, defend, help, or work with another species. Crossing paths at a lake or a hotspot is not mixpacking. Acting as one (0.5) is.
- 5.3
No overpacking. Never be grouped (0.5) with more of your own species than the cap above. This is not only about fights: being over the cap together is the break, so the extra dinos leave rather than stand aside.
- 5.4
Juveniles under 50%. Dinos under 50% growth do not take a group slot, so nests and young broods are fine. The moment one reaches 50% it counts like any adult and the group must split to respect the cap.
- 5.5
Working together is grouping. Players of the same species who help each other (0.7) or share information (0.8) are grouped (0.5), even if they never stand together. Once the cap is full, the extra players back off and leave the area instead of staying close by.
โ๏ธPunishments & Appeals
4
- 7.1
Evidence. Report rule-breaks with in-game replays (F2) and/or screenshots showing names, through a Player Report ticket on our Discord.
- 7.2
Escalation. Warning, then temporary ban, then permanent ban, based on severity and history. Severe cases (cheating, ban evasion, and extreme toxicity) skip straight to a permanent ban.
- 7.3
Appeals. Open a Ban Appeal ticket on our Discord with your in-game name, Steam ID, and details. Be respectful: abusive appeals are closed.
- 7.4
Staff discretion. Staff may act anytime to protect the community, even outside this list. Their decision is final in tickets.
